It’s great to see the local Businesses in Bermondsey all chip in together to support local initiatives that are family friendly.
On weekends with home fixtures we’ll be offering free face painting, and the design you get done doesn’t have to be football based, it can be anything!

Where: The Blue Market Place, Bermondsey.

In Bermondsey, we’re lucky to have a strong network of local businesses who don’t just operate side by side, but actively chip in together to support the wider community. One of the clearest examples of this is what happens on Millwall matchdays.
Football brings energy and footfall to the area, and we see it as an opportunity not just to welcome supporters, but to create something for families and local residents too with pop-up activities that give kids and parents something extra to enjoy before or after the game.
It’s all about collaboration. A single business might only be able to do a small thing, but when we pool resources, ideas, and energy, the result is something much bigger that benefits everyone. Families feel welcome, businesses see new faces, and the area as a whole becomes a destination rather than just a stop on the way to the stadium.
This spirit of pitching in together is at the heart of Bermondsey’s identity. Matchdays are a reminder that when local businesses put community first, we create a better experience for residents, visitors, and supporters alike.
