Small is beautiful, and the Substation is no exception. It is the little sister of Battersea Brewery, which is situated at the iconic Battersea Power station. The substation can be found at the smaller, and more relaxed Almond Road, but the beer is just as mighty.
It is a small space, and easy to miss. But, as with all the best kept secrets a trip is well worth it, and small and local is what the Mile is all about, after all. With a small taproom serving on the weekends, you can sit amongst the tanks downstairs or go up to the balcony where you can look down on the next batch of beer being prepared for you.
