A Spook-tacular Halloween at The Blue Market in Bermondsey.
The Blue Market was buzzing with spooky energy on Saturday 26th October, as families from across Bermondsey came together to celebrate Halloween in style. From 12 noon to 3pm, the square was transformed into a festive hub of creativity, colour, and community spirit — and we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout!

Pumpkin Carving Fun
Our Halloween Market Stall, beautifully decked out with cobwebs, pumpkins, and spooky decor, was the centre of attention for many families. The free pumpkin carving workshop saw children and adults alike getting stuck in, scooping, slicing, and designing their very own Jack-o’-Lanterns. With guidance from our talented artists, even the youngest participants proudly took home some fang-tastic creations. The “one pumpkin per family” rule helped ensure there were enough for everyone — though they disappeared fast!

Frightfully Good Face Painting
Nearby, a queue quickly formed for our free face painting station. From skeletons and witches to pumpkins and little monsters, our face painters worked their magic to bring Halloween looks to life. The smiles (and spooky stares) on everyone’s faces were proof that this little touch added big fun to the afternoon.

A Halloween to Remember
Costumes, creativity, and community — this year’s Halloween celebration at The Blue had it all. It was a joy to see local families making memories together and enjoying free, festive activities in the heart of Bermondsey. Huge thanks to everyone who came along and made the event so special — we loved seeing The Blue filled with laughter, imagination, and a bit of Halloween mischief.

Until next year, happy haunting!
